Lord, we need You

Annapolis happened on my watch.

This is my mission field.

What could I have done different?

I could’ve done more. I should’ve done more.

2 Chronicles 7:14 “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Who is this verse speaking to? The church. Christian believers.

Me.

If I will humble myself and pray, turn from my wicked ways, then God will heal the land.

It’s not that I’m doing bad things. I don’t think you are either.

But, am I praying?

Sure I pray. But, not like I should.

Ephesians 5:16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

The days are evil. I don’t need to be cruising FB, writing another blog. Lobbying for new laws. Those things are wonderful; there’s nothing wrong with them. But, they don’t change hearts. Jesus changes hearts.

This tragedy was produced from an evil heart.

Luke 6:45 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

I need to pray.

America is broken.

John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Let’s do this. Let’s pray.

Jesus come back into our schools, into our churches, into our homes and into our hearts personally. We need You. We cannot go on living without You. Give our President and his wife a deep love for Your word. Revive us Lord! …you keep on praying…
