Worth the Wait…

They waited.

When it didn’t come, they waited some more.

Kept on looking for it.

With certainty. They knew it was coming.

That big wave.

It didn’t matter how long it took, they never gave up.

All eyes on the horizon. Waiting for that it to come.

It did come. And they rode it into shore. Exhilarated and thrilled. Celebrating. And giddy.

It was worth the wait.

Are you waiting?

Psalm 42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan, and from the heights of Hermon, from the Hill Mizar.

This word “Mizar” means little.

Has the waiting made your faith dwindle?

Is it little?

Matthew 8:26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Little faith, even the faith of a mustard seed can move a mountain.

Are you waiting? Don’t know what to do next?

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

God gives liberally in that little place. Big wisdom. Big God.

Are you waiting? Ready to call it a day?

James 4:6 But He gives more grace.

Don’t quit. Keep looking. He gives more grace. Big grace.

Are you waiting? Ready to walk out of the water?

James 5:7-8 Meanwhile, friends, wait patiently for the Master’s Arrival. You see farmers do this all the time, waiting for their valuable crops to mature, patiently letting the rain do its slow but sure work. Be patient like that. Stay steady and strong. The Master could arrive at any time.

You never know when God will show up in a big way.

 Are you looking? Expecting Him?

He always shows up. Maybe not in my time. Nor my way.

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as
the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Don’t look at how long it’s been. You’re just that much closer to fulfillment of the promise.

Expect Him. Look for Him. Wait on Him.

Habakkuk 2:3…Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come…

In Step With Jesus…

“Mommy, I’m walking in your footsteps…”

That meant 3 things to me:

He was close. Real Close.

He could hear my voice.

And he could definitely see me.

It didn’t matter that he wasn’t sure where we were going.

We were together.

He could trust me.

Do you wonder what’s next in your life?

Where should you go from here?

What should you do?

Psalm 143:8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

God loves you. He has a plan. If you are walking with Him, you won’t get lost. You can’t make a bad decision. His Spirit will prompt you anytime you’re getting ready to do something out of His will. When that happens, stop.

When I don’t know, I don’t go.

Job 23:10 But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

You may be walking a tough path right now.

God knows. He sees.

This is the hardest time to trust; when you don’t know what’s next. Here is what you do know:

God loves you. He will not allow you to fall. If you must walk through trials and heartache, He will not leave you. He’ll walk right through it with you.

You can trust God with your life. Every detail.

Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God…

God is the beginning and the end. He is everything in between.

He is working all things out for your good.

Stay in step with Him.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

If you can’t hear Him right now, come a little closer.

Wait on Him.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Who Am I?

My man. He knows me so well.

So when I shriek, “Oh, pull over! Pull over!”

He obliges. No questions asked.

And I marvel. These girls are exquisite. Their colors. Look at them in all their beauty.

There they are. Overlooked by many. Not given a second glance. Never noticed.

But, not today. I take notice. I stop. I see them. Not only do I see them, I am awed by them.

My God put them there. Just for me. Even though they’re tucked away on some back road in central Florida, I see them.

What makes them beautiful? The eye of the beholder.

Where does today find you?

Have you been overlooked? Are you feeling inadequate? Less than.

Here these words:

You are beautiful.

Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder.

No one may take notice of you. But, your God, He sees. He knows exactly where you are. He planted you for a reason. You have a purpose. It’s to please Him. You bring Him joy.

He accepts you. Just. As. You. Are.

Not when you become a rose. Not if you become a tall sunflower. Not when you become a singing Daisy.

He loves you. Just. As. You. Are.

If we try to live up to the worlds standard, we will be quickly depressed. It is a revolving door. Constantly changing. Never attainable.

He loves you because you’re his daughter.

He is pleased with you. Just. As. You. Are. Not when you get married. Not when you have a baby. But now. Not when you lose some weight. But as you are today.

He is content with you. Just. As. You. Are.

Others might pass you by. He never will. He will stop for you every time. Maybe they have passed you bye. Maybe you have been left by the side of the road. That rejection is not who you are.

You are God’s beautiful daughter. You exist for Him.

Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, because you created all things. It is by your will that they existed and were created.”

You were created for a purpose. Maybe this finds you asking, “Who am I? Why am I here?”

You are not your position. You are not your ministry. You are not what you do.

Your greatest success is your intimacy with your God.

He loves you.

You make His heart smile.

Just. As. You. Are.
