“I got that.”

I was too exhausted to move.
Standing before me was a weight I couldn’t lift.
I knew it too.
“Do you need some help with that?”

Stay close to your Daddy…

I could not get out of bed. Literally.

Unexplainable darkness permeated my soul.

Painful thoughts assaulted my mind.

What was going on?

Daniel 10:8 …no strength remained in me; for my vigor was turned to frailty in me, and I retained no strength.

Daniel was up against a very real spiritual battle. It was one he could not see physically. Nonetheless, it was fierce. At the right time, the hand of the Lord touched him.

Daniel 10:19 NKJV – 19 And he said, “O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!” So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

Have you been feeling oppressed?

Don’t give up. If you’re too weak to pray, just praise. Sing to the Lord. Your strength will revive.

Cast out the lies. Take every one of your thoughts captive. Combat all the lies with the truth of God’s word. That’s what Jesus did when Satan pursued after him. He was in the wilderness; a desolate place. This is when Satan seeks opportunity. Recognize it for what it is: spiritual warfare.

James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Your heavenly Daddy has His eyes on you. He sees what’s coming on the right and left. You stay close. Follow hard after Him. Let Him be your defense.

Psalm 34:7-8 The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the [wo]man who trusts in Him!

Taste and see. You can trust Him. Your Daddy will never fail His baby duckling.

She stayed still…

She was terrified.
Trembling, she stood still; not knowing what to do.
I’ll tell you what she didn’t do: she didn’t run off.
Let me explain.

The first time I saw her she was out in my front yard hidden in a hole and covered over by straw. Surrounded by her siblings, she was safe and sound. Her mamma was nearby.

But then the gardener came through.

He mowed everything to bits.

Life as she knew it ended.

It was all over in a matter of moments.

This little girl didn’t run off. She stayed put.

We can learn a lot from her.

When in doubt don’t.

In the midst of chaos is no time to make a decision.

Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.”

We can’t listen to our feelings, they can deceive us.

Be still.

Friends want to help, but they can get it wrong.

Be still.

God often speaks in a whisper. You don’t want to miss it.

Psalm 37:7 Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.
