Truth is not relative

“You’re judging me…”
Sound familiar? Have you said it? Has it been said to you?
Take a look at my baby bunny.
We can learn so much from her.
She is in my garden under the watchful eye of her momma. Prompted by momma, the moment I stepped across the threshold of my door, the baby ran away.

Momma perceived a threat. This isn’t her first rodeo. She knows the lay of the land. There are things she’s learned from experience. She knows the dangers. Baby bunny hasn’t learned everything she needs to survive on her own. Baby needs to be taught.

It is the same way in our lives.

There are things that will harm us. They look harmless. In fact, they may even appear to be good.

2 Corinthians 11:14 …Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

How can I know what is good for me?

There is only one place to find truth: the Bible.

Truth is not relative. It is black and white. It is not based on my feelings. My feelings will lead me into danger. There is a real threat to our very lives. The devil himself.

John 10:10 The thief’s (Satan) purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

If you see a friend deviating from the truth, you should not be afraid to speak the truth in love. The love of Christ compels us.

What kind of mother would let her child touch a hot stove?

If someone has talked to you about an area of concern and you “feel judged,” don’t dismiss it. Go to God and ask Him if there is any truth to what was said. Don’t take their word for it. Go to the Word of God. Search it out. Find out if these things are so. Be humble. Make the necessary corrections; even if you don’t fully understand.
When God’s Word says He doesn’t want you doing something, it is to protect you. Always.

You’re His baby. He loves you.
