Hard Things?

The boy grabbed my hand.

Exercise is hard. Having special needs makes it that much harder.

He spoke soft, “Holding your hand helps me keep going.”

I squeezed a little tighter.

It was hot. Real hot. Even breathing was hard.

Trying to rally him I said, “I know you’re tired. You can do this. We will do it together.”

I have some hard things myself. How about you?

In the same way, God is extending His hand to us.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Take His hand. Let Him walk this out with you.

Don’t give up. Fear is not our master. We have a God who holds our breath in His hands. Every one of our days mapped out before we were born.

When you feel that fear creeping in, squeeze His hand a little tighter. Tell Him your fears.

Zephaniah 3:17 For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

People will fail us. Plans will go awry.

Jesus never fails. He will never leaves us. Never.
